Friday Bible Study – Online
Bible Study is at 10 am on Fridays on Zoom
Bible study is broken into 13-week segments. The study helps participants: explore “What does the Bible say?”, understand the meaning of the passage by considering such aspects as ancient customs, location of places and the meaning of words; and connect the meaning of the scripture to their own lives.
Divina Lectio – Sunday, in Person
Meeting 8:30 am in the Diversity Room.
Lectio Divina (Latin for “Divine Reading”) is an ancient Christian practice of slow, prayerful scripture reading that aims to transform the heart rather than just gather information.
There are four steps in the process of Lectio Divina:
- Lectio (Read)
- Meditatio (Meditate)
- Oratio (Pray)
- Contemplio (Contemplate)
